“The Pattern’s Edge” Art Show featuring Nancy McIntosh, Jennifer Hudson, Sharon Trumbull, and Linda Trope
July 23 @ 11:00 am - August 20 @ 6:00 pm
Meet the Artists at the Opening Reception on July 23 from 1-4:00
The Pattern’s Edge Art Show features artists Raku potter Nancy McIntosh, cut-paper artist Jennifer Hudson, oil painter Sharon Trumbull, and ink illustrator Linda Trope. Join us at the show opening, and get to know the artist behind the art.
Nancy McIntosh‘s raku work is phenomenal. Nancy was introduced to the raku process as an undergrad, but she set it aside to produce more practical pieces. Fortunately, Nancy’s love of the fire never left, and today she is a leading raku artist.
Jennifer Hudson is a cut paper artist and ink painter who began as a painter. Her paintings reflected realistic nature scenes and surreal fantasy-based illustrations. Jennifer’s love of the natural world is evident in her work’s use of flora and animals.
Painter Sharon Trumbull is most inspired by the transformational quality of light in the world around us. Through her oil paintings, she strives to convey timeless visual experiences glimpsed amid the chaos of daily routine.
Linda Trope loves modern dance; as such, she focuses on the figure and the beauty of movement in her work. Using only the point of her colored translucent ink pens, Linda layers thousands of colored dots to capture her vision and achieve an intensity that brings her dancers to life.
The Pattern’s Edge Art Show begins at 1 pm Sunday, July 23rd, with the Artist Opening Reception, and runs through August 20th.
