The 3-day Mixed Media Art class will be held April 6, 13, and 20, 2023 from 11-2:00 pm.

Join artist Deborah Maklowski to explore the almost infinite design possibilities in the confluence of juicy paint, colorful collaged papers, tapes, shimmering metal leaf, and 3-D additions such as beads, stones, shells, twigs, broken jewelry parts, hardware bits, and assorted found objects. Acrylic mixed media is all about color and texture, design, and shine. In this three-session series, we’ll take a hands-on approach to learning about mixed media materials, techniques, and methods, as you create three small abstract artworks. You’ll be able to try out different acrylic mediums, gels, and pastes and learn how to use them to achieve special effects.
