The dog days of summer are upon us, but with each flash of lightning comes a Flash of Inspiration for our three featured artists. Join us in the coolness of the Gallery and soak in the warmth and beauty of Mattye Hamilton’s mixed media paintings, John Davis Held’s pastel paintings, and Kevin O’Toole’s art glass.

When Mattye Hamilton paints, she illustrates how she is connected to her environment. Mattye is drawn to the patterns, colors, and figures she sees daily, and by using unexpected combinations, she creates a meditative space for the viewers of her art.

John Davis Held’s love for worldwide travel often inspires his art. John is best known for beautiful pastoral landscape paintings. "... My work has a deep sense of peace and light, and it is an honor to share it with so many kind souls.”

Kevin O’Toole’s creation of kiln glass embodies everything he loves about making glass art – an intensive process presenting endless ways to shape and manipulate the material to showcase the inherent beauty, translucency, and depth of color unique to glass.

Join us for the Flashes of Inspiration Art Show opening on Sunday, August 7, from 1:00-4:00 pm, and meet these fabulously creative, talented artists. The show runs through September 4, 2022.
