Feeding Time

Every now and then I see a lily pond that really catches my eye. Often you see the sky reflected in the water. This painting is partially based on a photograph and partially from my imagination. Working on a rice paper that had been crinkled and painted in a variety of greens and yellows prior to adding the fish and water gives the illusion of looking through the depth of the water and seeing hints of what lies below.
