House with Character

Alison Leigh Menke - "During quarantine, I decided to challenge myself to a 30 Petite Painting Challenge. My desire was to focus on developing many ideas quickly rather than focusing on an extended process.  These paintings, in their small format, allow singular “marks” (impasto and texture) to have great impact! Each piece is a study and a journey. This piece, House with Character, Is expressive as I wanted the house to have a “smiling” personality."
