Red Leaf Vase

George French - "I was given some apple wood from a retired orchard in Howard County.  I found out that Apple wood likes to do all kinds of things when it is drying and a crack developed in the vase after I rough turned it.  I used epoxy colored with powdered Mica to fill the crack and was able to add a few additional cracks to simulate a leaf pattern.  I persevered through all that this apple wood threw at me and was rewarded with a beautiful piece of art."
